If there’s one thing I wish someone would have told me about starting a business earlier, it would be the importance of systems.
Nowadays with an online business you need a lot of reliable tools that help streamline your process, keep you organized, create an elevated client experience and ultimately make your business more enjoyable to run and scale!
So I’ve made a roundup of the tools that have dramatically improved my workflow, that I’ve grown to love and that I truly don’t go a day without using. While some do require a monthly fee, the decreased stress and increased quality of work + organization have been well worth the investment!
01. Bonsai – Contracts + Invoicing
An all-in-one tool for freelancers and self-employed professionals to manage their work and money. I use bonsai to create my contracts and send invoices. Keeping it super clean and professional, you and your client are able to e-sign and establish clear terms from the get-go. Bonsai also integrates with Paypal & Stripe, so your clients can pay directly through the (single or recurring) invoices you create. Ultimately, having all your money management in one place. An absolute life/business saver for me!
02. Asana – Project Management
Before going independent, I usually communicated with clients solely through emails, going back and forth on submissions, approvals and next steps. More often than not, it would be a hassle trying to find answers through chains of emails… In comes the project management system Asana… Cleaning up that mess, fast.
I now onboard all of my clients onto the platform, where they are instantly greeted with the full breakdown of their project. Including first steps, their client questionnaire, official kick off date and the process I’ll be going through in building and developing their brand/website. Tasks are assigned to both me and my clients with set deadlines to keep the project on track.
All submissions are uploaded where my clients can review and give feedback directly into Asana. Keeping all communication organised and in one place.
I truly couldn’t recommend it enough!
03. Flodesk – Email Marketing

04. Moyo Studio – Mockups
I’ll never forget my first design internship, where my design mentor told me how I could sell an okay concept with a beautiful presentation and likewise lose an amazing concept with a boring presentation.
Since then my presentations never take second place, and since designing, neither do my mockups.
Moyo Studio has been my go-to for beautiful and authentic photo mockups + customisable design kits.
A no-brainer investment that has helped me elevate my content, wow my clients and show my work in the way that it deserves. Whatever your brand aesthetic may be, let me tell you, with MOYO studio, you’ve got options.
